Our Featured Pet...
Lily is a sweet little calico kitten who was rescued from a south Philadelphia alley. She is a friendly girl who loves to be loved, and purrs when she is petted. Lily is about 4-1/2 months old, spayed and up to date on her vaccines. She loves to play and needs a
playmate - another young cat or playful human.
Who We Are
The mission of Animal Rescue Network is to rescue homeless or abused animals, primarily in northwest Philadelphia, to obtain needed veterinary care, provide training, find foster care, and place them in safe, permanent homes. We further aim to reduce the number of unwanted animals by spaying and neutering. We do not serve as a shelter where people can surrender pets. Animal Rescue Network is a member of the New Beginnings Nonprofit Incubator at Resources for Human Development, Inc. (RHD). RHD is a large, diversified nonprofit organization based in Philadelphia, that oversees roughly 150 programs. The New Beginnings incubator provides small and startup nonprofit programs with a range of services and support designed to help them grow to achieve their missions. Animal Rescue Network is responsible for all its own fundraising.
Adopting a friend
All our pets have been spayed or neutered, and are up to date on their vaccinations. We ask that you help offset this in a small way with an adoption fee. We will ask for a vet reference, and may conduct a home visit as part of the adoption process. If you see an animal that interests you, please get in touch with the contact person for him or her, and we will send you an adoption application.
