Please be advised many of our birds are adopted out without ever being posted on our available page. The reason for this is that we have pre-approved applicants awaiting to adopt. If you are interested in adopting a bird or reptile from us, please fill out an application so that we can review it and get you on the waiting list for that perfect companion and help save a life! Also when inquiring about a parrot you see here, please note that we may have already contacted a potential family for adoption and are in the process of working through the adoption procedures.
ADOPTION APPLICATION
Who We Are
We are a family operated Parrot/Reptile rescue and sanctuary dedicated to helping those whom can not help themselves. Our rescues are not warehoused but rather live right here in our new 2500 square foot home that was purchased specifically for them, where I personally work with and care for on a daily basis. Our rescues are part of the family. We interact with each other, other parrots and family members on a daily basis.. We work extensively with feather plucker's and have a 85% success rate with helping them to regrow feathers. We take in all sizes from Finches to Macaws.

Adopting a friend
If you are interested in adopting a bird from Lair Of Dragons Bird Rescue you must read our policies page carefully to see if you meet our initial requirements and if so, you must first fill out an adoption application on our website for us to reveiw.
You Must be at least 25 years old
You must live within a 2 hour drive of Lancaster, PA
Larger birds are only adopted out to those whom live in a single family home and preferably a home owner, do to the nature of their size and loudness.
We do not place birds with people who breed or are considering breeding.
Relinquishing A Parrot or Reptile
We are not here to judge, only to help. We want you and your beloved pet to feel as comfortable as possible with this process. We thrive to make the transition easy and stress free. Our home is always open for
you to come and visit first so that you may get to know us, our current rescues and see how they play and interact with us on a daily basis. We do not charge a relinquishment fee but we do ask that you also bring along their cage and belongings, if possible to make them feel more at home.
