**Better Days Merges with Angel Hill Animal Sanctuary!!**
The merger will join forces of two shelters to create a stronger entity with greater capacity to care for animals in need.
Better Days Animal League has merged with Angel Hill Animal Sanctuary of Chambersburg. The merger will allow for a greater no-kill rescue option in the South central Pennsylvania area and increase the ability to care for local abandoned, abused and neglected animals.
Both facilities will now be run under the direction of Better Days Animal League Director and Humane Society Police Officer, Dennis Bumbaugh.
The Angel Hill Animal Sanctuary Thrift Store located in downtown Waynesboro will continue to operate under the name of Better Days Animal League Thrift Store and the proceeds will continue to support the shelters. Better Days Animal League also operates two additional Thrift Stores in Carlisle and Shippensburg.
The acquisition does raise it's own set of obstacles for the rescue to overcome, in short there are now many more animals to be cared for and with donations low due to the economic conditions and holiday season it could make for a tough winter.
Both facilities are in need of dog, puppy, cat and kitten food. Donations can be made online, in any of the thrift stores or at the shelters.

Do you recognize this dog?
Justus' medical treatments are extensive given the cruelty he has endured. Please help if you can.
Better Days recently responded to an assistance call for an injured dog in the Cleversburg area. Upon arriving we found the dog to be gentle, responsive and gravely injured. It appears the dog had been shot in the face and left to die. Initially we thought he might not make it but after 3 hours and 10 minutes of surgery - he pulled through and we named him Justus. See photos below.
We are desperately seeking to find his owner as it is obvious that at one time he had a home and a family that loved him. If you have information please call 717-532-3600 or email dennis@betterdaysanimals.com. All information will be kept confidential.
