Our Featured Pet...

Our featured pet at this time is Leggacy. She was rescued with a foal at her side(now weaned and placed). They were purchased after the sale, sold separate, and mommy was going to slaughter. Leggacy is a Registered American Trakehner Association Part -Trakehner Division #ORB-D-M931 foaled April 17, 1992 by Schonfeld out of Lotus Effect. She is a walk/trot ring or trail mount. Has hacked on trails, played with jumping and has been to open shows. For more information: Leggacy there are also several more pictures here.

Please help them be rescued....

Please take a look at the horses in the care of Another Chance 4 Horses, Inc. Yes, they are safe… but their lives are incomplete and unfulfilled. The traditional rescue that we do helps horses from abuse, neglect, auction, unfit for sale horses, owner surrender (emergency), consignment horses looking for new homes and zero fee listings to assist owners to place horses rather than send their horses to the auctions or kill pens. We help them, we quarantine them, we work with them to prepare them for their new homes but we are not able to fulfill the special needs that only “their family” can supply. Only you can do that. I always hear they don’t need help, “they are safe”…. While they are “safe from immediate danger” that isn’t enough. They still need help financially and they need their own family. The rescue cycle isn’t complete until they find a home and have their own family. Please take a look at the faces of those longing to be with their own family – they want to be home.

All offers from approved homes considered. Horses are available to be seen on Saturdays, by appointment from 12 – 3. Please share this with your friends and ask them to do the same so we can fulfill the wishes of finding a home - it takes us all helping to make it happen and complete the cycle. Who We Are...

Another Chance 4 Horses, Inc. Rescue, Rehabilitation and Placement is a non-profit 501c(3) corporation headquartered in Pennsylvania with an international network. We have been in continuous operation for over a decade. AC4H is a volunteer based, all breed horse rescue located in a densely equine populated area. There are multiple race tracks in our tri-state area as well as many auctions that supply the foreign -owned slaughter houses that kill our American horses for human consumption abroad. We assist horses through owner surrenders, neglect cases, local auctions outbidding kill-buyers, buying sick or injured horses and purchasing directly out of the kill pens - sometimes literally moments before they are shipped to slaughter. Literally thousands of lives have been saved but despite our efforts thousands more die... It is only with public support that we are able to save, rehabilitate and rehome them. We require different adoption procedures depending on which type of horse you are adopting. Owner surrendered horses require the adoption application. Horses our rescue has saved from slaughter require a transfer of ownership form. Broker owned horses require a release of liability. Each of these forms can be seen on our website at  www.ac4h.com
