News
UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO THE LARGE AMOUNT OF CATS AND KITTENS THAT I HAVE HERE, I AM NO LONGER ABLE TO TAKE IN ANYMORE CATS OR KITTENS. I AM SORRY, I CAN NOT HELP! THE KITTIES AT THIS SHELTER WOULD LIKE TO ASK A GOOD SAMARITAN FOR THE FOLLOWING ON THEIR LIST!!! DO YOU THINK YOU CAN HELP THEM OUT!!!
Muriel, Arissa, and Squeaks, would like to be spayed
All off them are asking for a family of their own to give love too, to
prove how worthy they are for getting love back!
The ones that cannot get homes, are asking for toys, to keep them
playing and happy!

Who We Are
I am a small rescue, I feel that the animals that I take care of are given a good home as soon as they walk through my door! My job is to find them a better home! I know this is possible, because I have been doing this for cats and kittens for awhile now!
To tell you a little bit about my group! I do not have foster homes. We are a family that loves cats and are concerned for the well being of them.
Everything that I do is straight from my pocket. I hopefully get reimbursed for the care of the cats, but, this is not usually the case! The reason I became involved with rescue was to help cats and kittens sick or not and to find them homes! I really believe that every cat//kitten does have a family out there waiting to take them home!
At times I do have sick cats/kittens, but, they are kept in their own rooms, crated only if absolutely necessary, they do get daily attention as well as the care that they need to get well. If they do not have a terminal illness, if they are not in terrible misery, then, they are given a good life until someone else with a good heart, comes along to give them the opportunity to continue a happy life! I will give all information that I have about the animal, so that you can make a complete, thought through decision, as to whether you would like to adopt them. Please do not feel obligated to adopt from me, if you feel that you can't do it, there are so many cats out there that need homes!
If you have any questions about my operation, please don't hesitate to call and ask! If I can be of any help, I will, if I can't then I will let you know that also, I may very well be able to get you the help you need, through other groups that I have contact with. It never hurts to inquire!
If you would like to donate to the care of the kitties, I have no
problem with this! The things that I do need are:
* Scoopable litter and pooper scoopers
* Scratching posts or pads are always a help
* Kitty dishes, kitty toys
* KMR kitten formula
* Orphan bottles
* Diaper wipes, paper towels
* Towels, Blankets
* Flea topicals ( Advantage)
* Baby rice cereal, 1 st stages baby chicken food
* If you would like to sponser a cat/kitten or help with the spay/neuter of an animal, then you can make a donation using the paypal option below, just push the "Make a Donation" button, any amount is fine, there isn't any set rate! I have some cats that are special needs and would benefit from surgery or meds that I cannot afford. The donation or sponsoring for them would be deeply appreciated.
I am non-profit, but, I am not tax deductible and I do not get funded by the state, so, all of the things listed above are expenses that I would appreciate deeply if you do want to help! Thank You!
Adopting a friend
When adopting a pet from me, you can email me or you can call the telephone number under each picture! You can set up a time and day to come and see the pet that you would like to adopt, (PLEASE BRING A CARRIER, DO NOT COME WITHOUT A CARRIER!), these pets are in my home, I have a family, we will do our best to bring you into our family to take home one of our family members!
The adoption fee of an adult cat, is actually less than the reimbursement of the spay/neuter and depends on the cat, FeLV testing, vaccination series, de worming, flea treatments and Rabies vaccine, it is $100.00 for a female or male cat or kitten. Please understand that, although this sounds expensive, you do get more for adopting an adult cat than a baby. All the cats are FeLV/FIV tested and vaccinated for this (except for the FIV), and depending on their age they also have their FVRCP/FeLV and Bordetella vaccines, they are spayed/neutered, have a Rabies vaccine, have been dewormed and have flea treatment on them. If you were to add all of that up, if you were to get a free to good home kitty or a kitty from an animal control facility, you will find that it does not add to $150.00, it is much more, vet visit $33, Rabies up to $14.00, FeLV/FIV testing up to $40, 1 st vaccinations of FVRCP/FeLV between $19 and $25, 2 nd booster series between $19 and $25, spay or neuter between $90, will cost you at the least $280.00. That is how much I pay for services that I need for any cat or kitten that I take in.
Here is the catch 22 of doing animal rescue! Cute, cuddly, fluffy, playful little kittens, do pay for food, litter, medicines that are needed and the spays/neuters and vet visits for the adult animals!
The adoption fee for kittens that are 6 to 8 weeks up to 15 weeks of age is $60.00, but, you also have to put down a $25.00 deposit for their future spay/neuter. Kittens that are 16 to 23 weeks of age have their Rabies and their FeLV vaccination, so their adoption fee is $85.00 as well as the spay/neuter deposit. Kittens that are 24 weeks/6 months the adoption fee is the same as the adults, male or female, $100.00 they are already altered and have all of their vaccination series complete. When you have the spay/neuter done at your vet, if you adopt a kitten under the age of 6 months (or a kitty that I was not able to afford to spay or neuter), your $25.00 deposit will be applied to your account of your veterinarian, this will go toward the price of your spay or neuter! When you adopt a kitten, they have at 6 weeks 2 sets of Bordetella, 1 set of FVRCP vaccine, and either the mother or the kitten or a sibling is tested for FeLV/FIV, they are de wormed at that time also, they have flea treatments done. If you adopt a kitten that is 9 weeks to 15 weeks, they have complete vaccination series of FVRCP/FeLV done, as well as Bordetella, once they are 16 weeks of age they also have their Rabies and first or second set of FeLV and completed FVRCP, if they are 6 months they have their second set of FeLV vaccine and they have been altered, (as long as I have the funds for the surgery!) A $25.00 deposit goes toward the spay/neuter, which is mandatory! So, you do get a good bit for the adoption price!
On the rare occasion that I have a puppy or an adult dog to find a home for, the adoption fee for a puppy is $100.00 to $150.00, this includes his vaccination series, depending on age, microchipping and de worming and last but not least flea treatment, the $25.00 deposit will be applied to your account at your veterinarian, toward the future spay or neuter. If you adopt an adult dog from me, the adoption fee is $175.00, which includes vaccinations, microchipping and the spay or neuter.
I do not approve of declawing cats or kittens, please understand that, it is in my contract and if you have intentions of doing this, please go to another rescue! It is an incredibly painful procedure, it is an expensive procedure, this procedure can also cause behavioral issues as well as anti-social behaviors which include biting and urinating and defacting in places they are not supposed to! As time goes on, they can develop tendanitis, arthritis, they loose the muscle in their legs, they don't have the balancing ability that kitties with their claws have, they will have alot of problems. This is an issue that I feel very strongly about. PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME TO ALLOW MY BABIES TO GET DECLAWED! IF YOU NEED HELP FINDING A DECLAWED KITTY, I WILL HELP YOU FIND ONE SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Come Visit Us! But please call ahead first!
