We are a small group of volunteers who know that English Setters are the best kept secret of the dog world. Foster homes are always needed. Please ask how you can help save a setter.

Above and Beyond is not a shelter, but a group of volunteers who are committed to finding the very best homes for the English Setters we take into our program. All of our dogs are in foster homes in the PA, NJ, DE, and MD area, although we do have volunteers in other states who will begin fostering for us. Please write us if you are interested in a particular dog and we will put you in contact with whomever is fostering that dog. We will also be courtesy posting other breeds for our volunteers who need help placing dogs they have rescued. So you may see other breeds listed under A and B's name even though they are not being placed through us. We believe helping our volunteers in any way we can is very important and helping another K-9 find a great home makes us just plain feel good!
Every adopter must fill out an A and B application, which can be found at our website www.esrescue.org. After we receive your application, you will receive a phone call if you meet our criteria as an adopter. We will then begin the process of getting that adopter approved.
Above and Beyond is looking for only the best homes for our dogs, therefore a home visit will be done for every adopter and vet references and personal references will be checked before any dog will be adopted. Our goal is the match each dog with a home that will allow their English Setter to flourish.
Our dogs are in foster homes in various locations, so you will need to visit the foster home that is housing the dog you are interested in.
