Rascal is 9 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. He is a beautiful gray and white Husky. He is on the smaller side and is very passive and laid back. He will play with a toy in the play-yard and will come over for pets and back scratches. Rascal also sits and gives his paw for treats. Rascal really enjoys going into the showing room, makes himself right at home on the couch, and relaxing or laying on the dog bed in there. Sometimes Rascal will chew on the bone. He just enjoys hanging out with someone. But, he also likes his walks and does walk nicely on a leash. Rascal would make a wonderful new best friend for you!
Who We Are
Canine Rescue of Central PA, Inc., is an all-breed, all-volunteer, no-kill nonprofit organization dedicated to providing assistance to any dog in a helpless situation. Our organization was formed in 2002, and we have made tremendous progress in establishing another valuable resource for our furry friends. It is our mission to get involved in as many situations as possible to provide sanctuary, shelter, and homes to as many dogs as we can. We also are very focused on creating strategic partnerships with other rescues and similar organizations in an attempt to share resources as well as expand public awareness of the overwhelming problem of homeless animals.
Adopting Your Canine Companion
Our adoption process encompasses several steps in an attempt to ensure the best possible placement of an animal in the most appropriate home. In addition to an application and time spent with a dog of interest, a home visit with the candidate is also a step in the adoption process.
We charge an adoption fee of $238.50 and require the execution of an adoption agreement. Our dogs are up-to-date on all of their vaccines, are heart worm tested, are spayed or neutered, and micro-chipped. Volunteers walk and socialize the dogs daily, and we have trainers who work with the dogs if it is needed.
