#1-More Shelties are always coming into rescue. Sometimes they are never posted if we have a suitable approved adoption application on file. If you don't see a sheltie that you would be interested in right now, please submit an application so we can keep it on file.

#2- For the Safety of our Shelties you MUST HAVE A SECURED FENCED IN YARD to adopt from us.

#3-We are not adopting to anyone with small children, at this time.

1.FILL OUT AN APPLICATION

AND

2.HAVE A HOME VISIT COMPLETED.

SHETLIE'S ARE CUTE & SHELTIES ARE FUN BUT YOU GOTTA' HAVE A FENCED YARD BEFORE YOU CAN ADOPT ONE!

Who We Are

One Home Away Sheltie Rescue is a non profit, volunteer organization that helps homeless or abandoned Shelties. Each Sheltie is treated for any medical problems and then spayed or neutered, brought current on all shots, wormed, treated for fleas and ticks, heartworm tested and started on heartworm preventative medication, started on flea prevention medicine, and gromomed. All Shelties are then screened and adopted into safe, loving forever homes. We do not have a shelter facility. All dogs are housed and cared for in our network of foster homes. Interested in becoming a foster home? Please let us know. If you are interested in adopting a Sheltie you may view the dogs that are available by checking our listing here. If you have a Sheltie that you need to get into our program, please E-Mail us or call either 570-735-5069. We are not adopting out of state at this time. All prospective homes are screened carefully so we can be sure that we are placing our shelties with what we feel to be the proper home for that particular dog. Every home isn't right for every dog, nor is every dog right for every home. Anyone interested in our shelties is required to fill out an adoption application form and if approved have a homecheck done and if matched with a dog they will then sign an adoption agreement.
