Our Adoption Process
Please note, due to our volunteer base, we adopt mainly to families in SOUTHERN NJ, DE and Eastern PA.
1. All potential adoptive families must complete an application on our website at www.graperescue.com under "Adoption". There is a $25 NON-REFUNDABLE application fee.
2. Once your completed application is received, a GRAPE volunteer will contact you to set up a home visit if you live in SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY, EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA (PHILADELPHIA AND ITS SURROUNDING SUBURBS), OR DELAWARE. If you do not live in one of these areas, we may not be able to have a homevisit done (which is a required part of our adoption process), and we may not be able to adopt to you.
3. If you are approved, your new family member will be matched to you! Please note that there is an additional $250 NON-REFUNDABLE fee if you adopt from us.
Our fence policy is dog-dependent as some dogs require a fenced in yard.
Who We Are
Based in the suburbs of Philadelphia, we are a rescue organization devoted to finding the perfect forever home for golden retrievers. Please note, we are not an actual shelter. Instead, we are a group of dedicated volunteers who foster the goldens in our own homes and shower them with love and attention until the perfect home is found for them!
GOLDENS ARE GRATEFUL ... but even more so the rescued golden who is offered a second chance at a forever home...this is the sole reason that GRAPE was created and moves forward with a loyal network of volunteers that tirelessly struggle to find the perfect home for goldens that no longer enjoy the pleasure of contentment in a permanent, loving environment--- GRAPE was founded in 2001 and has since placed many goldens in forever homes...we continue on this mission and we thank everyone who continues to support the rescued golden.
Please note, GRAPE does not adopt to families who have unneutered/unspayed pets. Thank you.

Genuardi's has a program that gives a percentage of their sales back to GRAPE as a non-profit organization. We need everyone to register their Genuardi's club card online at
escrip.com Once you have registered your card, everytime you shop and swipe your card you will be helping us earn money to help to take care of these wonderful dogs! This is a great opportunity for everyone to become involved!
