IS A NO KILL
501[C]3 NONPROFIT DOMESTIC BIRD RESCUE
SERVING THE LEHIGH VALLEY AND ALL OF PENNSYLVANIA AND THE SURROUNDING STATES, SINCE OPENING OUR DOORS IN APRIL 1999.

Fresh start is dedicated to finding permanent, educated, caring, and "FOREVER HOMES" for domestic birds. Who, through no fault of their own, have found themselves homeless from being unwanted, neglected, abused, forgotten, or in most cases because of life style changes that had nothing to do with the bird.

Not only does Fresh Start help rescue these innocent beautiful birds. They also help and serve the community through Educational and Community Programs. Thanks to volunteer efforts, Fresh Start Bird Rescue has been involved for over ten years in bird rescues. Congratulations to Fresh Start and the countless birds they have saved!

Adoption Policy

WE REQUIRE THAT ANYONE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING A BIRD FROM FRESH START, FILL OUT A PRE-APPLICATION AND COMPLETE AN INTERVIEW. ALSO ,TO QUALIFY ,YOU MUST MEET THE REQUIREMENTS PERTAINING TO THAT CERTAIN BIRD. REQUIREMENTS ARE LISTED ON THE BIRDS BIO. ALL BIRDS ARE EVALUATED AND THERE IS AN ADOPTION DONATION INVOLVED FOR EACH BIRD.
ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE CAGE AND SUPPLIES.

*****IN THE UNFORTUNATE EVENT YOU HAVE TO PLACE YOUR BIRD PLEASE CONTACT US, AND THE FRESH START TEAM WILL DO EVERYTHING WE CAN TO MAKE THE RELINQISHMENT AS EASY AS POSSIBLE FOR BOTH YOU AND YOUR BIRD FRIEND.
*****THEIR ARE NO FEES TO RELINQISH A BIRD, BUT WE DO ASK WHENEVER POSSIBLE THAT THE BIRDS CAGE TO BE SENT WITH THE BIRD .
