Who We Are

Founded in July of 2000, we are a nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection of all animals through education and awareness. Since one of our main concerns is pet overpopulation, we have created a low cost spay/neuter program. Please call Gloria for more information at (717)272-6466. In addition, we have also created a children's educational program to teach children how to take care of their pets and respect all animals. This program is suitable for scout troups, schools, youth groups, etc. If you would like to arrange this program for your group, please call Gloria at (717)272-6466. In the past eight and a half years, we have found homes for 2040 cats and kittens. Some of our other accomplishments include the purchase of a police cruiser insert for the South Lebanon Township police dog. We have also purchased cages for a local fire company. This will help them to keep pets safe when rescued at the scene of a fire or other accident. We sent a donation to the New York City ASPCA for their 9-11 Animal Fund. Also, a donation was sent to the Harrisburg police dog that was shot in the line of duty. A scholarship fund has been established to be awarded yearly to a local high school student pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. This is made possible through recycling efforts of aluminum cans, used computer & printer ink cartridges & yard sales. Even though our group is rather new,our founding members had worked together in the past. We have accomplished many things in a short time. One of our long term goals is to operate a no kill shelter.

Adopting a friend

All of the cats we have for adoption are up to date on all vaccinations and have been feline leukemia/feline AIDS tested. Cats over the age of six months have been neutered/spayed. We will cover the cost of neuter/spay for kittens, when they reach the appropriate age. An adoption application and fee are required for all adoptions. If you have other cats, they must be feline leukemia/feline AIDS tested before your application will be approved. If you rent your home, we must contact your landlord. We also will need to contact your veterinarian(s) for current and past pets. Our fees are $45 for cats and kittens and $55 if the cat is already declawed. This money helps to pay for the vaccinations, spaying/neutering and care given to the cats prior to adoption. Adopted cats must be kept strictly indoors. Many of them have already spent time living outside with no food or shelter. They deserve to be kept inside your safe, warm home now that they've been rescued. Please take the time to view the animals we have for adoption. They would love to have a second chance to find a permanant, loving home. Please contact us by phone at (717)272-6466 or e-mail FOAA@lmf.net .

Come Visit Us!

Friends of All Animals is not a shelter. All of our animals are placed in foster homes and are adopted from these homes. We will arrange for you to meet the animals at their foster homes. Or come visit us at one of our Adopt-A-Thons at Petsmart to meet our cats and kittens for adoption. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent for one of our animals or if you would like to volunteer in any way, please let us know. You can contact us at (717)272-6466 or e-mail FOAA@lmf.net. You can also visit our website at www.friendsofallanimals.org or join us at one of our bimonthly meetings (usually the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm) at the Lebanon County Career and Technical Center 833 Metro Drive Lebanon.
