Lester is an adult domestic shorthair who would love to be someone's companion. Lester has had a bit of a rough road. Lester and his sister were adopted when they were about 14 weeks old and returned to the shelter at about 2 years old because they were unable to financially care for them. Lester was then adopted by another individual and he lived there for about 4 yrs and then his owner passed away and he is back at the shelter just waiting for his forever loving home. Lester is neutered and declawed.
We are in need of volunteers to help clean cages and feed the animals. The cleaning staff cleans between the hours 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Cleaning and feeding generally takes approximately 1 - 1 1/2 hours and must be completed during the hours mentioned. Please call Lori at 570-427-8640 if you are interested in volunteering at the shelter. Your help and support is greatly appreciated.

Who We Are
We are a very small non-profit animal shelter with the ability to house a very limited number of animals. Our goal is help as many homeless pets as possible by helping them find new loving homes. We operate strictly on donations and recycle aluminum cans to help pay for our expenses. We have achieved several of our previously set goals. Our greatest achieve so far is the completion of our new building. Even small goals for us take sometimes years to achieve.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption policy includes the following: All of our pets must be housed indoors, we do not adopt for outdoor pets. All pets must be seen by a licensed veterarian within 10 days of adoption and must be spayed or neutered within 30 days of adoption if they are not already altered. All other pets in the household must be up-to-date on their vaccinations before any of our pets are released. We do character reference and veterinary checks on all applicants and we reserve the right to refuse any adoption, if we are not completely satisfied with applicant. All pets adopted must be returned to us if the adoptive owners are unable to keep the pet at any point in the pet's life.
