SPONSOR-A-PET PROGRAM
It is a sad but very real statistic that not all animals we rescue are able to be placed due to disease, chronic illness or old age. We also know that many loving people for a lot of reasons are just not able to bring a pet into their homes. For this reason we are introducing a program that we know will benefit those animals and people alike who would like to connect through sponsorship. A small donation on a regular basis, as little as five dollars a month, can help defray the costs of veterinary care ONLY for animals who are in foster care with us for most, if not all of their lives. A very dedicated few of our volunteers keep these orphans for years in their homes, giving them shelter, food and love. By sponsoring one of these animals we can help our organization keep these poor babies in excellent veterinary care for the long-term. Remember all of our funds that we receive go directly for vetting. Food, bedding, toys and non-prescription items come solely from the foster parent. We are appealing to you to help us in our mission to continue our no-kill rescue service by sponsoring.
Who We Are
Our all-volunteer group began as a food bank for homeless animals. For twelve years, we worked under the umbrella of a City shelter. This work contributed to the welfare of small animals in a number of significant ways: underwriting facility improvements, offering low and no-cost spay/neuter certificates and food supplies, and promoting humane education within the community. In July of 1995, our group was officially incorporated as C.A.R.E., Inc., a non-profit, all-volunteer organization registered with the Department of State. Our focus of now is on the promotion of low cost spay/neutering. We are currently involved in working with many ferral colonies throughout the area. We are trapping, spaying/neutering these unfortunate animals and then releasing them back to their feral communities in an effort to scale back the number of homeless pets born onto the city streets. Many of the feral kittens involved in this aspect of our mission are able to be rehabilitated and have found loving homes. One hundred percent of all our donations are directed to the veterinary care and medical needs of all our rescued animals. Our foster animals daily needs such as, food, bedding and housing are totally taken care of by our dedicated group of foster parents. Foster animals are cared for by our volunteers in the loving environment of their homes until permanent placement can be made. Our dedicated volunteers are out in the community on most weekends promoting responsible pet ownership practices, educating people to the realties of the enormous homeless pet population and introducing foster animals for adoption at area Veterinary Hospitals and special events. Over the years, we have developed a working relationship with a large number of licensed veterinarians to provide safe procedures for animals in need of these services. To date, more than 7,000 pet owners have received assistance through
our program.

This will enable us to expedite the application processs. A member of CARE will return your call within 48 hours. Also, we do require an adoption fee, which will be discussed with you. This fee enables us to continue in our mission...and remember 100% of
