Promises for Pets
Who We Are
Promises for Pets is an organization dedicated to addressing
the issues of homeless, unwanted, neglected, and abused dogs
and cats through community service, education and a future
no-kill adoption and education center.
Our Mission is to serve and educate the community regarding
the health and welfare of dogs and cats as companion
animals. Above all, we will strive to eliminate unwarranted
euthanasia by providing education, access to low cost spaying
and neutering services, immunization clinics, and a no-kill
shelter and adoption site.
We will identify and decrease the instances of animal neglect
and cruelty through education, investigation and follow through.
Promises for Pets also currently offers Foster Home Placement for otherwise homeless animals. All animals in foster care are fully vaccinated and spayed/neutered before adoption.
Adopting a friend
All animals are tested, vet checked, fully vaccinated and spayed/neutered before adoption. The adoption donation for cats is $90.00 and between $100-$130 for dogs. This is used to help offset the veterinarian fees. An adoption application (which includes a veterinarian reference check) and an adoption agreement are required. All animals will only be adopted as indoor pets. Our goal is to place all of the animals into loving, permanent homes.
Currently, all of the animals are in Foster Homes. If you are interested in any of the animals that are up for adoption, either of our Spay and Neuter programs, or if you would like information regarding our organization in general, or to volunteer, please contact us at (724)657-5130
