Our adoption process involves filling out an adoption application, and once approved, an adpotion contract. In some cases you can take your new pet home that day. The adoption fee for a dog starts at $79.50 and the fee for adopting a cat starts at $55. This includes the first set of vaccinations, a free health exam with a participating vet, spay or neuter done before adoption, 30+ days pet health insurance if you provide an wmail address and activate online, 24 Hour Pet Watch microchip and more! We can adopt pets to families that live outside of Oregon, but we are unable to ship pets. ASK ABOUT OUR SHELTER SPECIALS!

Are you looking for something to do that will make a difference? We would like to invite you to volunteer with us. We have a variety of jobs at the adoption center and thrift store. Everything that you do will help the homeless animals in Douglas County. In the Cattery; Grooming cats, hosting adoption areas, cleaning cages for the cats and kittens. In the Kennels; Cleaning kennels, walking dogs, manners training, adoption hosting, grooming and bathing. Other helpers needed for; dish washing/laundry, event suport, customer service assistance, landscaping, lawn mowing, retail assistance, pet photography and transporting animals to other shelters.
Have a house that maybe needs the patter of little feet? A cozy laundry room for a injured animal to recouperate? How about fostering an animal for Saving Grace? We need caring people to help out some of our special animals. Cats and dogs that come to us pregnant or with small babies that are too young to adopt. Sometimes it's an animal that has been injured and needs a place to heal away from the stress of the shelter enviorment. We are also looking for temporary homes for animals that will be going rescue groups. We are located just north of Roseburg, Oregon right off of Interstate 5 on Del Rio Road.
From Northbound I-5: take exit 129 and turn right at the stoplight at the end of the ramp. You will be on Hwy 99 South for just a few hundred feet. Take the first right (there is a nice long turn lane) onto Del Rio Road. Del Rio will take you over I-5, past another on-ramp, past Douglas County Forest Products and over a curving bridge. Turn right at the bottom of the bridge and head up the hill toward the oak trees.
From Southbound I-5: take exit 129 and turn right at the stop sign at the end of the ramp onto Del Rio Road. Go past Douglas County Forest Products and over a curving bridge. Turn right at the bottom of the bridge and head up the hill toward the oak trees.
