Our COONpanion of the Month for July... Dreamer!

Dreamer is a PB MC without papers.

Dreamer will need to be listed as special needs I assume because of the medication she takes and the inhaler she uses (no kidding!!!) Dreamer is a spectacular cat looking for a home that will give her all the love and care that she needs and deserves.

When Dreamer came into foster care, her condition could only be described as the result of benign neglect. She had bad knees so the point that she never jumped. She had a chronically stuffy nose and would sneeze 10 or 15 times in a row. And her coat was severely matted.

All that has changed. Dreamer has had knee surgery and has learned to jump like a normal cat. Medication controls her stuffy nose, and her coat is no longer matted.

Dreamer is a cat with lots of personality. She's vocal and willing to tell you what she wants. She likes to be petted but only according to her rules. She's not a lap cat but she often sleeps near us. She has a wiry coat that is slightly curly. Since her knees have been repaired, she does a much better job of caring for her own coat, but she needs a bit of help from time to time. And since her stuffy nose is better, she is a much happier, curious, and outgoing cat. She has become a delightful member of our household. Oh yes, and Dreamer likes the water. She happily plays in her water dish--or any other dish of water she finds.

In foster care in Eugene, Oregon.

Please contact Sharon at skyoder@uoregon.edu for more information about Dreamer.

Maine Coon Rescue is a nationwide 501c3 Non-Profit organization dedicated to rescuing Maine Coon and Maine Coon Mix cats. We are a network of volunteers who share one love-our beloved Maine Coons. We assist in assuring that these cats are placed in carefully screened forever-homes where they will spend the rest of their lives being spoiled as they deserve.

The entire funding of our rescue efforts comes from the generosity of cat lovers, through donations, adoption fees and various fundraising activities. This money is used with great care so that every dollar helps as many needy Maine Coon and Maine Coon Mix cats and kittens as possible.
