"BBQ - August 10th, 2008" Mark your calendars!!!!! Whole Foods is hosting a BBQ for All Terrier Rescue on August 10th, 2008. ALL DOGS WELCOME! Everyone is invited to attend so tell your friends and family to mark their calendars. We hope to have a wonderful turnout. There will be tons of dog games, agility equipment for you and your dog to practice with and have fun using. We will also have several excellent raffle items and doggie goodie baskets to give away. Whole Foods is located in Tigard on Bridgeport Road. Do you need to find a new home for your dog?

We take owner releases, pregant dogs and whole litters of pups as well as overflow from area shelters. You can arrange pick up or drop off by calling 503-543-7626 or 503-680-4263.

Who We Are

We are a mom and daughter team with a small group of volunteers. We started out just rescueing Terriers but have branched out to include all breeds and mixes as well. We have been rescueing dogs for 15 years and travel all over the United States to small area shelters that have extreme high kill rates or no avenues for adoption. Our dogs recently have come from Canada, Tacoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, Georgia and Nevada.

Adopting a friend

We are a rehabilitation rescue, which means we take dogs from owners and shelters to keep them from being euthanized due to space and training. We are a mother - daughter team with a small handfull of volunteers. We travel far distances to be able to help these animals which makes us very proud of what we do. So please be patient when contacting us as our first priority is getting the dogs taken care of. You can always catch us every Saturday from 12 noon to 5 pm at the PETSMART in Beaverton (next to Burlington Coat Factory). Emailing the rescue is also effective. As much as we would love to be able to return everyones phone calls, we do no have the manpower to do so - so please DO NOT call, we don't have the time to call you back (unless your wanting to release a dog of course). WE DO NOT CALL LONG DISTANCE, sorry. So your best bet at getting in touch with us is via email or show up in person this Saturday at the WASHINGTON SQUARE PETSMART LOCATED AT 8825 SW Cascade Avenue, Beaverton, OR 97008-7495 - starting at 12 noon and ending at 5 pm. In addition to the dogs we take from the shelters we also take many special needs dogs, dogs that need broken legs repaired or long time neglect cases with no hair and needing lots of medical. So when you ask what our adoption fees are know that we try to keep them as low as possible but in cases of puppies we do charge extra to help out on additional medical expensis for lower priced dogs. When you adopt from our rescue organization you can expect for us to be there to help you along the way. We also offer boarding for all our rescue dogs. We want to be a lifetime resource for you and your adopted dog. We also work with breeders who have become overwhelmed, so we generally always have puppies. Please take the time to come to our adoption day and find out for yourself with your own eyes that wonderful dogs that would have been destroyed had we not said yes to taking them. We are extremely strict on our return policy - if you adopt a dog from us you must agree in writting that the dog will be returned to us if you cannot keep him/her. Additionally we will only consider homes in which the dog will be an INDOOR-ONLY dog - even if the dog is not housetrained. No outdoor dog runs, tie outs or garage dogs. Most of our dogs require familes with no childeren under the age of 10. Some dogs require very special homes and we insist on the right to screen every adopter based on the needs of the individual dog.
