We'd like to thank PETCO for their generous support to The Ninth Life with donations of cat food and supplies, and by featuring us, along with Greenhill Humane Society, in their Easter Bunny promotion.
Most Saturday evenings (when Leanne's health permits), we bring some of our adoptable kitties to PETCO for everyone to meet - please stop by and say hi - we're there from
4 - 7 pm.
Who We Are
The Ninth Life is a nonprofit refuge for abandoned and feral (wild) kittens and cats that subsists wholly on public donations. The Sanctuary is operated on a volunteer basis by two sisters, Leanne and Lorna Cook, and their friend, Jeanette Sleeper.
In the six years that the ladies have been doing cat rescue, 612 kittens and cats have been saved from life-threatening situations. 450 of these cats have been able to be adopted into loving homes.
Some cats, due to pre-existing health or behavioral problems, are not suitable for adoption out to private homes, so are given loving life-time care at the Sanctuary.
In addition, The Ninth Life operates a telephone help line that advises low income pet owners on how to obtain low cost health care and spay/neutering for their companion animals.
Adopting a friend
We have a variety of kittens and young adult cats looking for loving, responsible homes. Our adoption fee/donation includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, leukemia/FIV testing, etc. We have a life-time return policy - to ensure that none of our kitties ever faces being hungry or homeless again!
