Cats Galore
Cats Galore works primarily with stray cats and kittens and tamed feral kittens spayed/neutered in our trap-neuter-return program. We are a truly no-kill facility, which means we do not kill cats unless they are terminally ill and are in pain or have very little quality of life remaining. This is a problem as well, for after 5 years of trap-neuter-return, our shelter is perpetually overfull! As a result we are no longer taking in more cats but work to decrease the number of adoptable cats in our shelter. We also help other individuals and animal rescue groups adopt cats out without taking them in to our own shelter.
Adoption Fee: $50 for kittens under 4 months old, $35 for 4 mo to 5 years, and $10 for older cats or cats with physical shortcomings that make them harder to adopt. Always 2 for the price of 1 for any of our cats! Spayed/neutered; Up-to-date on vaccinations; Felv/FIV tested only if high risk (sickly kittens, old beat up male cat, history of kittens dying in area from leukemia). Adopters receive a small bag of Science Diet, and a DVD on how to care for your newly adopted cat. Our cats may be seen at Petco in Walla Walla every other Saturday and Sunday and alternate weeks at Wags to Whiskers at 1903 E. Isaacs (behind Magic Touch Carwash). An appointment must be made to see our cats at other times, as we are a small shelter and work other jobs and do not have regular times open to the public. Cats Galore shelter is located at the Blueberry Farm on the Walla Walla River Road two miles SE of Milton-Freewater (on the road to Harris Park). Turn right on Day Road and make an immediate right at the Lampson mailbox (just across from where Day road turns left). The big brown shop building with the green roof is our main shelter building.
