Committed to Critters Rescue is a volunteer-based rescue dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing chinchillas and hamsters. We take in animals that are unwanted, abandoned, scheduled to be euthanized, and animals from over crowded shelters. We may take in these other small animals when room permits: gerbils, mice, betta fish, hedgehogs and sugar gliders. The animals are cared for until a new loving and forever home can be found. We also have a sanctuary where some animals will live out the rest of their life here with us due to age, special needs, and behavioral issues.
Adopting or Surrendering a Friend
Adopting
To adopt an animal, you must be at least 18 years of age and be able to meet with us in person. Proof of a proper cage/tank is required before an animal can be released to its new home.
**We do not ship any of our animals**. Each adopted animal will go to it's new home with a two-week supply of it's current food and care information. To request an adoption application please send us an email.
Surrendering
There is not a surrender fee for surrendering your animal to us although we do ask that owner-surrendered animals come with their cage/tank, food, bedding and other supplies. If your pet's cage/tank cannot be provided, please explain why when contacting us by email.

We do not have a designated shelter, so the animals are all in foster homes. To make an appointment to see an animal that is up for adoption, your adoption application must first be approved. We will then arrange an appointment.
