RECENT RESCUE NEWS:

August 29, 2012, finally after several months all of these dogs were adopted! Way to go Coos County friends!!! They are all finally living the dream thanks to you!

On May 10, Officer Hoover rescued six abandoned, badly neglected dogs and brought them to the shelter. These dogs were STARVING, had every parasite a dog could have and several other serious health issues that needed to be addressed immediately. Four of the six are looking at very lengthy recovery times. The expense of getting these deserving dogs healthy again is going to be pretty darn hefty. We expect to have these dogs in our care for at least another 6 weeks, probably longer. We're asking for your help. These dogs LOVE attention and food. Come on out, bring a bag of treats or a bag of dog food and see just how loving these dogs are. Donate to their medical expenses. See their sweet faces and sponsor one or two. It is amazing, after having such a terrible life that these guys are as sweet as they are. All donations are tax deductible and appreciated.

Big thank you to Officer Hoover for rescuing them, big thank you to Hanson-Meekins Animal Hospital for their care, big thank you to Dr. Casey Spencer for donating her time and knowledge.
