The Klamath Humane Society has been working on Project Animal Shelter since April of 2005. We are 80% complete with an amazing $1,070,000 in cash donated by the community so far. With land valued at $860,000 and many thousands worth of labor and materials donated as well, an estimated $200,000 was needed to complete the project and open the doors-until recently.
A local teacher who has made a challenge-matching donation of $100,000 to Project Animal Shelter! This kind, local teacher who asked to remain anonymous, has challenged the community to match her donation of $100,000 and a plan is in place to do exactly that. "Match it and Move In" is our new motto!

The Klamath Humane Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1970 serving all of Klamath County. We are an open admission animal shelter that provides shelter and care to homeless, unwanted and abandoned animals, encourage adoptions, promote responsible pet ownership, provide education and spay/neuter assistance programs. We are a local organization and receive no national funding, all donations stay local and help local pets.

We have many wonderful animaIs available for adoption. Animals can be seen at the shelter at 500 Miller Island Rd and in the Pet Connection program at Double C 4141 Washburn Way. Adoption applications are required and all pet must be spayed/neutered before going to their new homes.

We are located at 500 Miller Island Rd From down town Klamath Falls take Highway 97 South approximatley 5 miles turn left onto Miller Island Rd. From the south suburban area follow Washburn Way south to Joe Wright Rd., turn right onto Joe Wright Rd. Follow Joe Wright Rd to Tingley Ln turn left onto Tingley Ln. Tingley Ln will split follow the right hand split.
