Lane Area Ferret Shelter and Rescue
Who We Are
We're Lane County's only 501(c)3, no kill ferret shelter and rescue. If you have a ferret in need of help in the Southern Oregon/Northern California area, we'll do what ever we can for it. If you need to relocate or surrender a ferret, whether it is a pet or one you found, call us and let's see if we can help you. We do offer free pick up of ferrets around Eugene, Oregon, and we don't charge a surrendering fee. All ferrets are housed in a home environment at the shelter. We are an emergency rescue for sick, injured, abused, healthy, abandoned, homeless, lost, and found ferrets.

The Ferret Agility Trials, the annual fundraiser for Lane Area Ferret Lovers Ferret Shelter and Rescue, the will be held September 14, 2007, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Richardson Park in Junction City, OR.

Ferrets can participate in events such as the tube run, paper bag escape, yawning contest, and new this year is the best trick competition. Winning ferrets in each event will be awarded either a Gold, Silver, or Bronze “medal.” For people, there will be a silent auction with ferret toys, cages, hammocks, and other fun ferret things as well as fun people things. As a special event, Dr. Ron Titterington of Emerald Valley Veterinary Clinic will do a presentation. All proceeds of the Ferret Agility Trials go toward sheltering and rescuing unwanted ferrets.
So, if you want to have fun and laugh yourself silly, or if you want to learn more about ferrets as companion animals, come to the Ferret Agility Trials on Sunday, September 14, 2007 at Richardson Park in Junction City, Oregon.

Ferret Out A Friend!
All ferrets receive a complete check up, including vaccinations if needed, and are tested & treated for any internal & external parasites. We warranty all of our ferrets are healthy at the time they are adopted to you. We will not split up cage mates or bonded pairs that come in; any mates and pairs will be adopted together.
If you adopt one of our ferrets and find for what ever reason you are unable to keep it at anytime, you must bring the pet back to the shelter. If you return the pet(s) within two (2) weeks of adoption, then 100% of your adoption fee will be refunded back to you. All adoptions are done by appointment only. Before you consider an adoption ask yourself:
-Can you provide this pet with a forever home?
-Do you know what all it takes to give this pet a proper home?
-Can you afford the price of high quality food, vet care & vaccines the pet will need throughout its life?
-Are you willing to make this pet a family member to live in your home not in your yard or garage?
We do reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone if we feel it's not in the best interest of you or the pet.
If you surrender a ferret to us, we will need the pet's name, what food he/she has been eating, and if he/she has had any vaccines in the last 12 months. Also, you will be asked to fill out a history about your ferret(s) including what he/she likes and dislikes or any medical needs. This way we can get him/her the best veterinary treatment and home possible.
