Adopting a Friend

KITTENS - We have several kittens currently available for adoption and anticipate more to come as Spring and Summer are approaching. If you're interested in adopting a kitten, stop by the shelter during our hours of operation.

Wednesday 10am-6:30pm
Saturday 10am-2pm

The majority of our animals are unclaimed strays that are now in search of their forever homes. If you can provide a permanent, loving home for a cat or dog, please consider adoption. To view a list of the animals currently available for adoption at the shelter please click here.

How You Can Help

We are always in need of donations in order to keep the animals in our care comfortable, safe, warm and healthy. Some of the things we are in desperate need of are new and used linens (blankets, comforters, towels, pillow cases, etc.), The Hills™ Science Diet® cat and kitten food (both kibble and canned food), cat and dog toys, cat and dog collars, dog leads, Kuranda dog beds in all sizes, cat carriers and cat and/or dog brushes and grooming supplies.

We thank each and every one of you for your contributions to the shelter. Your commitment to making stray dogs and cats more comfortable warms our hearts and we are sincerely appreciative of everything that you do for us. If you have new or used items to donate please contact us or drop them by the shelter. Our contact information is listed below.

14378 Yonge Street

In some circumstances we can arrange to have items picked up. To arrange for us to pick up a donation, please call us at (905) 727-4646.

Scratching posts and cat trees (even the larger ones!) are greatly appreciated. We try desperately to keep our cats from getting bored and we've found that cat trees and scratching posts work wonders at keeping our cats busy.

Who We Are

Kennel Inn Inc. is located in Aurora and services the towns of Vaughan, Bradford/West Gwillimbury and King. Our responsibility is to enforce municipal animal control bylaws. We are a privately owned company contracted by the townships we serve.

Many of the strays that are brought into the shelter are never claimed, despite our lengthy attempts at finding their original owners. If you are interested in adopting a cat or a dog, please consider visiting our adoption center. We always have homeless cats in search of their perfect companion, and we often have dogs as well. Call us or stop by for a visit. We'll be delighted to help in your search for a new family member.
