We currently have wonderful dogs available for adoption! Please visit our webpage - www.ckanimalrescue.com for more information!
Adopting a rescued dog can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life! These dogs seem to know they've been given a second chance to live long, happy lives with families who will cherish them forever. Our volunteers work very hard to ensure our rescues are given that opportunity....to find their own forever families who will give them their own Happy Tail!
Don't buy while shelter animals die. They want to give love and be loved too. Spay & Neutering DOES save lives.
CK Animal Rescue is an animal rescue organization comprised of dedicated animal lovers who volunteer their time, home, love and commitment caring for abandoned, stray and neglected dogs in our communities, who are scheduled to be euthanized from high kill shelters. Our ultimate goal is to find permanent loving homes through our foster/adoption program.
We are committed to raise awareness in our community about the effects of abuse, neglect and cruelty; share facts of the problem of pet overpopulation and encourage our community to adopt from our rescue as well as from our local shelters. Our volunteers participate in community events; will provide resources and alternatives to try to help keep families and their pets together, when possible; and provide another resource of education for our children by providing volunteer speakers and presentation in classrooms. Stopping cruelty begins with our children.
Our network of volunteer foster families are from the Chatham-Kent and surrounding areas. We do not have a physical shelter location where you can go to view our available dogs. Our rescue is totally operated by caring people who generously volunteer their time, homes and hearts to help dogs in need.
All of the dogs we rescue are placed within our foster care program until they are adopted by families who have made a lifetime commitment to care for the dogs being adopted. Through our fostering program, animals have a safe place to live until loving homes can be found for them. Our foster families open up their homes where our rescued dogs live with their families and receive the same love and attention as our own dogs.
While in foster care, our rescues receive medical attention and live life as a dog should..happy to be loved! Personalities of dogs in home settings are more easily accessed while in a home setting. The foster caregivers will provide an overview of the personality of the foster dogs in their care which helps us determine what type of family would best fit that particular dog’s needs. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption as well as receive up-to-date on vaccinations. Our foster families are welcome to adopt their foster dogs, within limits, if they find a match!
