Bringing a dog who has no home into your loving environment is great stepping stone in helping that dog find their forever family. Not everyone has the lifestyle or home equipped to take in a foster dog. The majority of dogs in rescue have been abused or neglected and need patience and understanding when brought into your home. Expect some potty training to take place as for many dogs this is their first opportunity to spend time inside a home.
At Good Dog Rescue we will strive to make the best possible foster match with your living space and lifestyle but we are not infallible and emergencies will arise where a dog may need a special place while we find a better foster fit for them.
If you are dedicated to helping a homeless dog find a home and have room in your home, life and heart; Please consider fostering.
The foster experience can be trying at times but few things in life are more rewarding than the day your foster dog goes home to their forever family.
Please email us for your foster application and you will be on your way to giving a homeless dog a loving place to stay while waiting for their Forever Family.
Good Dog Rescue is a group of dedicated volunteers looking to find Forever Families for dogs in need. We take in all breeds of dogs and work with them until they are adoptable. We have a no-kill policy. No Kill MEANS No Kill!!
All of our dogs are adopted out as indoor house pets. Please email for an adoption application at gooddogrescueadoption@live.com. This is the first step in our adoption process. We are NOT first come, first served. Keep in mind: We are not looking for the first home for a dog... We are looking for the BEST home for that dog!
All GoodDogs are adopted out with their first vaccinations, de-flead, de-wormed, microchipped, so if they ever get lost they can get home, neutered or spayed and six weeks of free pet health insurance.
As a not-for-profit organization, the Good dog Rescue could not carry out its activities without the help of many volunteers.
We always need help to walk and play with our dogs. We also need people who are able to groom the animals, in order to make them pretty and ready for quick adoption.
Good dog Rescue also needs volunteers to plan and support fundraising campaigns (i.e. selling hotdogs or the bowl-a-thon). And we even need carpenters, electricians, plumbers and landscapers to maintain our facilities.
If you would like to give some of your time, come see us or send us an email at : gooddogrescuevolunteer@live.com.
