WHO WE ARE...
The four Dog Speed founders/directors met when deploying in New Orleans to do animal rescue after Hurricanes Katrina & Rita. We have since continued our rescue efforts back in Ontario, Canada, planning our animal sanctuary, providing fostering/adoption services, rehabilitation, animal welfare education, supporting legislative changes for improved animal welfare laws, and maintaining our deployment skills for disaster/rescue operations.
We have taken part in several Canadian puppy mill seizures in conjunction with UAN, SPCA and HSI, deployed to Mississippi for Hurricane Gustov, deployed to Chile twice after the earthquake and tsunami, and most recently to Louisianna/Mississippi and Alabama re the Gulf Oil Spill.
