The Pride Rescue
WE NEED YOUR HELP
The Pride Rescue depends on animal lovers in the community to open their homes and hearts to our pets by providing them with foster care until they can be adopted into a Forever Home. Without the help of people, just like YOU, many of our wonderful and loving companions wouldnt have a chance to meet their forever families.
OUR FOSTER PLACEMENTS ARE FULL AND THE PRIDE CAN NOT ACCEPT ANY MORE CATS OR KITTENS INTO OUR PROGRAM AT THIS TIME. WE ARE ASKED FOR HELP ON A DAILY BASIS, THERE ARE MANY CATS & KITTENS FIGHTING TO MAKE IT ON THE STREETS - WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW IN ORDER TO OFFER THESE HOMELESS ANIMALS THE CHANCE THEY NEED TO BE PROVIDED WITH VETTING CARE, AND A CHANCE TO FIND NEW HOMES.
Do you want to help make a world of difference to an animal who is desperately in need? Every new volunteer foster family who can help just one animal will be blessed with the love and affection of a pet, and the knowledge that they have saved a life. If you can not foster, consider volunteering to visit and feed a colony of cats who are still living outdoors, and are so dependant on your kindness and offerings of food and water to make it on the streets. We also desperately need drivers to help us to transport our cats & kittens to vet visits, and to their foster homes. Donations are also always welcomed. Please, if you love animals and can help, call us today! Lives depend on it.
Who We Are
We are a small group of volunteers who help to ease the suffering of abandoned, neglected and unwanted companion animals in Hamilton and the surrounding areas.
All of our pets are cared for lovingly in volunteer foster homes with special focus on the rehabillitation and socialization required prior to adoption into responsible and loving forever homes.
We are a no-kill shelter comitted to providing the best possible care to our pets and have special interest in helping hard-to-place and feral animals to know happy and loving home environments. We strive to ensure the happiness and well being of each animal on an individual basis, providing vet care, treatment, training and socialization in order to facillitate their adoptions into suitable homes.
Adopting a friend
The Pride Rescue has always had a soft spot for feral cats - many of which have been born outdoors and have known no kindness from humans - these cats have a great deal of experience behind them, and many take some time to feel safe and secure in home settings. The Pride's volunteer foster homes work hard to help these cats to quickly develop trusting relationships with people, and to adjust to the sights, sounds and routines of living indoors with families. Many of our cats and kittens, ex-ferals, need special families who have the time, patience and compassion to help these little souls to bond again, in a new place, with new people. Many of our cats and kittens are not suited to homes with children, needing the quiet, gentle encouragement of adult families who can give them personal space and time to become secure and develop into their loving purrsonalities.
By helping feral cats of all ages to blossom into loving little companions who are content and comfortable indoors, and placing these now well adjusted cats and kittens into permanent homes, it is our goal to educate the public about the amazing adaptability and potential these beautiful cats have to become treasured family companions.
Do you have some patience, lots of kindness and the cat-loving compassion needed to help a lost soul find his or her way? By opening your home, and your heart, to the experience of bonding with a feral cat, not only will you be saving a life, you will be embarking into a one of a kind experience that will fill your heart with joy unlike any other pet-person relationship you've ever known.
We will be happy to introduce you to our wonderful and loving pets. Please e-mail your interest, remember to provide us with the name and any ID numbers of the pet you are interested in, and we will be pleased to help you learn more!
The Pride Rescue does not have a shelter, so you will be put in contact with the foster home caring for the pet (s) of your choice, and a meeting will be arranged where you can meet the pet (s) in their home setting, and see them as part of families, just like your own. Cageless foster home settings provide a natural and easy way to meet your prospective pet, our pets are happy and comfortable in their family settings and shine brightly for visitors!
The Pride Rescue looks forward to helping you to find the purrfect match for your family!
