We are a no-kill group of volunteers and foster homes based in Toronto, Ontario dedicated to the rescue of animals. We work with local rescuers, and animal control shelters, as well as a group of our own volunteers to rescue stray, abused, abandoned and surrendered pets and find them new, loving/safe forever homes. We are a registered charity (No. 80519 5757 RR0001). You can email us at catbusters00@yahoo.ca.
Now Accepting PayPal Donations! We are now able to process donations online through PayPal, a trusted, secure means of making electronic payments. Click on the "Donate" button below to get started! We deeply appreciate your support.
OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP
We are always happy to accept donations of old blankets, cat care items, and items for fundraising at yard sales or other events. Every little bit helps.
For anyone wishing to donate food, litter, supplies, carriers, litter boxes, toys, etc., the PetValu locations at 869 Danforth Drive, Toronto and 2210 Queen Street East, Toronto has a food-and-supply-drive donation box for us. Larger items such as scratching posts may be donated there as well.
ADOPTING OR FOSTERING A FRIEND
Our existing foster homes are full and we are sadly unable to take in any more animals. We are sending out this urgent plea for anyone able to foster, either as a one-time event or on an ongoing basis.
If you are looking for a feline companion and can provide a loving, permanent home, please consider one of our homeless cats. They have so much to give and ask for very little in return.
Our adoption fee includes the rabies shot, deflea treatment, deworming, ear mite treatment, and spay or neuter (all done prior to adoption).
If you are interested in donating, volunteering, fostering, or adopting a cat, come out to meet us in person at any of the events listed below. We would be very happy to answer any questions or provide you with more information.

Cat Busters is participating once again in Pet Valu's third annual National Pet Appreciation Weekend (PAW) on April 20, 2013! We will be present at FOUR Pet Valu locations with many of our adoptable pets: Parliament, Danforth, Beaches and Laird & Eglinton. Whether you come to adopt or donate, your involvement that day will help Pet Valu help local rescues such as ours with much needed support. See the news coverage of our involvement from last year's PAW event!
The Third Annual CBAR Purrfect Gala fundraiser took place on Sunday, Nov 25, 2012, 4:00 - 8:00pm at Statlers Lounge (487 Church St., Toronto, ON, M4Y 2C6). It was a spectacular success, helping us raise over $1,000 for the veterinary care of all our rescues! It was a fun evening filled with live entertainment and great company. For those of you who came and/or donated, we'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you! See our Acknowledgements page for the list of donors, performers and sponsors.
OUR FRIENDS
One of Cat Busters' fur friends, Dr. Boo needs your help. His owner, Alise-Ann Glover and her roommate Meg Simmons -- both talented artists (follow the links) -- are raising funds to cover the hefty costs of Boo's medical care. Boo found himself at the emergency clinic recently and will need further attention to identify the cause of this health scare.
Alise has donated her artwork and talents to Cat Busters in the past. It seems only fair that we help spread the word about Alise and Meg's fundraising effort: your generous donations in exchange for original pieces of art!
See Dr. Boo's fundraising page for details. Gofundme is a widely popular and reputable crowdfunding site. The fundraising goal is $2000; as of today, they have already raised $440!
