Adoption Events

We hold adoption events every weekend for our eastern division at Ft Smith, AR or Fayetteville, AR Petco Stores or Petsmart Store. If you call 918-775-7172 it will tell you where we will be. In our western division adoptions will be held at the Petsmart store in Yukon, OK. We have cats and kittens located at the Petsmart Store in Yukon, OK daily for adoption and also at the Petco Store in Ft Smith, AR.

Just a Few Important Rules

We do not ship. We cannot hold a pet for more than 3 days. FFHS is not responsible for the pets on our site that are listed by the owners. Please read the bios on each pet, this will give you the contact information. We are not a facility. The pets are in our homes, therefore if you want to come visit you will need to call and set up a time. We work day jobs so when calling our homes you will need to leave a message and a phone number that you can be reached after 7pm. If you want to reach us during the day please email to the email address listed on each pets page.

Who We Are

We are 501(c)3 Non-Profit. Forever Friends Humane Society, a no-kill rescue, covers the states Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Kansas and Missouri. Some of our animals are in foster homes and some are listed for families needing to place their pet. If we have a pet on our site that is a request from someone for placement please contact the number or email that will be listed in the pet's bio. If you have a pet you would like for us to help place email us with all the animal's information, including pictures. Please keep in mind that we are not a shelter so we cannot take your pet, but we will do our best to help you get that "Forever Home" as quick as possible! If we are asked to help find homes for puppies or kittens this is a one time offer, after that we expect that you will do the right thing and spay and neuter your pets!

Adopting a Friend

All animals adopted are permanently placed. Under NO circumstances will ANY of the animals adopted from the Forever Friends Humane Society be used for fighting, laboratories, resale, abuse or neglect. These animals are adopted for the sole purpose of being in a "Forever" home with a "Forever" family. We will give the puppies and kittens their first round of shots and their first dose of worming when they come to us and this will be up to date as they age before adopted. We cannot guarantee, nor can we be responsible for the health of your pet once you have adopted it. We will make sure they are wormed, have shots and are fed a proper diet while in our care. If one comes to us with an obvious problem, we will take care of it immediately. Once the puppy or kitten reaches age that it can be altered this will be done before adoption. If they are adopted before this age a voucher will be sent with them and they will be done at the appropriate age, which in turn will be sent to us by the vet. This is a state mandatory law that all animals adopted from a rescue must be spayed and/or neutered, if you do not plan on wanting this done, then do not plan on adopting a pet from us.

Cats Adopted are NOT to be Declawed.

If one that is adopted from us is declawed after signing the agreement that this will not be done we WILL take the cat back and prosecute for damages. We usually have several wonderful cats to choose from that were declawed prior to coming into our rescue if this is what you are looking for.

If you see a pet that you are interested in the fastest way to contact us is to email the contact person listed on the bio. We all work day jobs and sometimes it is late when we get our phone messages, but we do have acccess to our computers all day!

If you see an animal that you are interested in, we will be more than happy to set up an appointment to have you come meet your "Forever Friend". Contact us by phone or email to make arrangements for a visit.
