This is an excellent time to adopt or begin to foster a homeless animal! Spring is just around the corner which means you can get out and play with your pet. Not only does adopting or fostering give you a great sense of accomplishment for your good deed, it is also a lot of fun to have a pet who can accompany you on walks, car rides and just to sit with you on those nice spring days! The pleasure you get from owning a rescued pet most often outweighs the extra responsibilities. Those adopting from our rescue join our family and will always be part of a support network, able to both give and receive advise from CARE's members, volunteers, expert consultants and fellow adopters. Adopting from us means you WILL get the pet you want, even if it takes a few tries. If you are looking for a specific breed of pet let us know, we will use all available resources to find you the perfect pet! Thanks and we hope to hear from you soon. Check back often as new pets are coming to us and our family is growing quickly!
All of the animals listed on Petfinder.com are CURRENTLY in NEED of IMMEDIATE foster homes or forever homes. If you see a pet you are interested in you can fill out our online application for pre-approval or you can e-mail or call for an appointment. Applicants or those who e-mail or leave a message will receive a call back to schedule a visit with the pet. It is best to have the visit in your home, especially if you have other animals. Even if you want a pet, it becomes your pet's decision whether they are willing to accept the pet into their space. We can also meet you in a park or other public place for the first visit. However, we will have to do a home visit as part of the adoption approval process. All animals have a small adoption fee. Funds go towards the pet's expenses (housing, food and medical costs including vaccinations, spay/neuter and any other treatment recommended by our veterinarians), and will give us the resources to save more homeless pets. We try to make the adoption approval process as easy and comfortable as possible, our adoption coordinators are willing to work with your schedule and specific needs, anything we can do to help a pet find a home!
If your not ready to adopt and cannot foster but would still like to help out our furry friends we need volunteers and can surely put you to work doing something rewarding to help out. A financial donation is also a quick easy way to say you care. We will accept check or money order sent to our address or you can come visit our pets and drop off your donation.
