Who We Are
Patterson Animal Hospital was established in 2000 as a mixed animal practice. Due to the community needs and lack of space in surrounding rescues, we have started to rescue adoptable pets to be placed in homes. We have adoption fees for each pet to cover a fraction of the care provided to make it the best pet possible. Although we make no financial gain from this aspect of our business, it has proved very rewarding emotionally. The entire staff takes an active part in helping find new homes for these pets, including phone conversations, personal encounters, internet connections and adoption days. Thank you to everyone who helps make this program a success. We also always welcome any donation, whether supplies or monetary, to keep our program running as long as possible. Our goal is to eventually have a separate facility for our rescued animals.
Adopting a friend
When adopting a new pet, be sure to get all the details and research the breed to make certain it fits with you lifestyle. Not all pet s are designed to be good companions for all people. Dogs with very short noses are not good athletes and should not be expected to go jogging. Hunting dogs or working dogs will constantly need something to do to keep them from getting into trouble. We would be glad to help you find the breed or personality that works best for your lifestyle. Just remember, this is a lifelong commitment. Your new adopted family member will rely on you for the rest of its life.
