Every pet we have is special and deserves a wonderful home. See our pet list for the next best friend for your family!
Don't let rescue pets spend the holidays alone. Many pets get surrendered this time of year because things get too hectic or money gets too tight. Imagine the confusion when they have spent the last years worth of Thanksgiving and Christmas in a family and now they are in a shelter. Help out. ADOPT! If you can't adopt, FOSTER! If you can't foster, DONATE! If you can't donate, PROMOTE! Thank you!!! These guys need your help and they need love. They have lots of it to give even if they haven't always received it in the past. Rescue pets can be so loyal. Thanks for looking.
Who We Are
Paws and Hooves took over the rescue efforts of Patterson Animal Hospital in 2012. Due to the community needs and lack of space in surrounding rescues, we have started to rescue adoptable pets to be placed in homes. We have adoption fees for each pet to cover a fraction of the care provided to make it the best pet possible. The entire staff takes an active part in helping find new homes for these pets, including phone conversations, personal encounters, internet connections and adoption days. Thank you to everyone who helps make this program a success. We also always welcome any donation, whether supplies or monetary, to keep our program running as long as possible. Our goal is to eventually have a separate facility for our rescued animals. We also work closely with local animal control to keep dogs from being euthanized unnecessarily. You can help too.
Adopting a friend
When adopting a new pet, be sure to get all the details and research the breed to make certain it fits with you lifestyle. Not all pet s are designed to be good companions for all people. Dogs with very short noses are not good athletes and should not be expected to go jogging. Hunting dogs or working dogs will constantly need something to do to keep them from getting into trouble. We would be glad to help you find the breed or personality that works best for your lifestyle. Just remember, this is a lifelong commitment. Your new adopted family member will rely on you for the rest of its life.
