We were victims of the Mannford wildfires Aug 4, 2012. Our property was completely destroyed by the fire. We lost our barns, sheds, dog runs, wellhouse and our house. To rebuild, we need fencing, dog runs, T-posts, concrete, wire and plastic crates, dog beds, shade cloth, run covers, canopies, flea, tick and heartworm preventive and building supplies for sheds and barns. While every effort was made to evacuate all the animals, Sadly not all of the dogs survived. Several of the survivors were severely burned, and have been recovering at various foster facilities, including Muddy Paws Grooming and Daycare, Horizon Veterinary Clinic, and the Tulsa SPCA. Many thanks to them and to the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals and the Animal Emergency Center. We would appreciate your help in bringing our babies home.
WHO WE ARE
Safe Haven German Shepherd Rescue Inc is a 501(c)(3) non profit animal rescue group. While our focus is German Shepherd Dogs, we have been blessed with several other breeds as well. Most of the dogs we have were rescued from shelters, or were abandoned. Currently, we are unable to take in any new dogs.
ADOPTING A FRIEND
We adopt young and adult dogs to loving homes. We do not have puppies available generally.
We have an application and screening process that we use to ensure the right match for both dog and owner. Our rescued animals are usually fostered. Therefore, to see one of our animals, we need to set up an appointment to meet somewhere convenient for the prospective owner.
ALL ADOPTIONS REQUIRE PROOF OF A SECURE FENCED AREA.
COME VISIT US!
We will soon be showing at Petco on either 71st St. or on Riverside and the Jenks exit. Keep an eye on our homepage for times and dates. Then come join us!
