Who We Are
The Mission of the ARK is to promote the humane treatment of companion animals by advocating for spay/neuter as the option of choice for all pets, providing care for abandoned and/or abused animals, assisting in the adoption of pets, and encouraging responsible pet ownership through educational programs.
Adopting a friend
The ARK takes an aggressive step to find good homes for our furry friends that are currently in foster care. There are always animals looking for a loving home. Most animals will be neutered or spayed before adoption. The ARK requires an adoption fee, which goes toward helping other abandoned animals. If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat, please remember some animals have certain needs.
The ARK also assists the public in re-homing their dogs. We have no prior knowledge of the dogs, age, health or temperament. We advise adopters to have their animals spayed and neutered. We invite you to join our efforts in helping the animals of McCurtain County Oklahoma by becoming an A.R.K member and to please join us at our meeting, the first Tuesday of every month at the Broken Bow Oklahoma Public Library or the Idabel Oklahoma Public Library, beginning at 7:00pm unless otherwise stated.
