There are an estimated 30,000 dogs
and cats euthanized every year in Oklahoma shelters. Most are put to death simply because there is not enough room or funds to house and care for them
until they can be adopted.
This is a crisis.
If we don't come to their aid, many more will needlessly suffer and die.
But there is hope! Together, we can help stop the hurt.
There are 5 main ways you help: Adopt | Foster |
Donate | Volunteer | Tell
ADOPT
Finding good homes for our rescued animals is our main mission. If you are looking to adopt a new member of the family, please consider Zoi's Animal Rescue first! If you are interested in adopting
one of our animals, please see the "Adopting A Friend" section below. (Or click the Adopting Info link on the left.)
If you are not looking to adopt, please consider helping us in these other
ways:
 FOSTER
Obviously, we need people to adopt the animals we rescue, but did you know that we need foster families just as much? Since we do not have a facility to house all the animals we rescue we rely on
foster families to shelter, care for and love them until their forever families come along. Since many of our animals are strays or have been abused, loving, gentle human contact is a must! If you
would like to apply to be a foster family, please contact us today.
DONATE
Without the generosity of others, we can't continue helping those animals in need.
We are always in desperate need of donations to help keep the group going. Many of the dogs and cats we rescue come to us sick or injured. For most of the pets that are adopted, the adoption fee
doesn't cover our medical and boarding expenses. Please help us continue to help those who can not help themselves.
If you would like to make a donation, you can do that via check. Make your check payable to "ZAR" and send to the address listed at the top of this page.
Another way to donate is by dropping by to visit us at PetSmart in Owasso on Saturdays from 11am-4pm. Your loose change can save a dog or cat's life both
young and old alike.
Items such as food, used blankets, towels, crates of all kinds, paper towels, and bleach are always welcome and greatly appreciated.
Memberships! We also rely on memberships to Zoi's to help with our operating costs. Memberships are just $25.00 a year. Click here for the form (or just email us and we
will send you a membership form to fill out and return to us.) Or you can stop by PetSmart in Owasso on Saturday and fill one out in person. Please partner with us
today!!!
VOLUNTEER We always are looking for dedicated, dependable, and dog-loving volunteers to help us with our Saturday showings at PetSmart in Owasso and other
events. If you are 14 or older and are interested in volunteering, please contact us today!
TELL If you believe in what we do, please tell your friends and family about us! Ask them to consider us when adopting a new friend or when looking for a good charitable cause!

DOGS
A selection of our adoptable dogs are shown at the PetSmart in Owasso nearly every Saturday from 11am-4pm and on some Sundays from 12pm-4pm (see Our Events for more info).
Come see us and adopt your new family member!
CATS
We used to show our cats at PetSmart in Owasso all week long, however we now only show a selection on Saturdays and some Sundays..We take in new cats and adopt out cats so quickly that it makes it hard to keep our online list updated. So just visit PetSmart in Owasso and check them out!
PRIVATE MEETINGS An actual shelter is a dream of ours that we will keep chasing! For now, if you can't come to PetSmart during our Saturday showings you can call to make an appointment for a private meeting with your new best friend! Since most of our animals are fostered or boarded, we will have to coordinate with the foster or boarding facility's schedule.
ADOPTION PROCESS
All animals are adopted out on a first come, first serve basis. However, because the animal's welfare is our utmost concern, we do require each potential adopter to complete an adoption application prior to an adoption being approved. *Please note: We reserve the right to deny any application if we deem that the animal is not a right fit for the applicant or vice versa.*
Once the adoption application is approved and the adoption fee is paid, you can take your new family member home!
Our adoption fees* are $100.00 for dogs, which includes all shots, spay/neuter, fecal and heart worm test. The fee for cats is $65.00 which includes all shots, spay/neuter, and feline leukemia test.
*Please keep in mind that our adoption fees do not cover the overall cost of caring for the animals we rescue. Therefore, if you can give anything above and beyond the adoption fee, we would greatly appreciate it!

In October of 2003, we rescued 2 special pups, a brother and sister. They were about 6 weeks old and nearly hairless as they had a form of mange. The female had a birth defect which had made her
left front leg draw up. Her right front leg isn't exactly normal either. We named her Zoi, which in Greek means "life".
Zoi taught us many things as we watched her grow. She doesn't know she is labeled unadoptable due to not being perfect. She runs, plays, steals food, loves, kisses, jumps up, just like all the
other dogs around her. She has a strong, iron will and remarkable determination. (Which are the very traits you need when you do animal rescue! No matter how difficult it gets, you can't give up!)
We named our rescue group in honor of her. Zoi is our mascot and our mentor and because of her, we have become a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is committed to giving life to the abandoned
and unwanted.
Watch your dog... you just might learn something!

Many people contact us each week asking for help with finding an animal a home. Some of the animals are strays, unwanted litters, and some are surrendered due to an unforeseeable event in the owner's life. Because of the poor economy, more and more animals are being outright abandoned by their owners-left to "fend for themselves" in their own backyards. To make matters worse, the economy is causing fewer people to adopt animals.
This is why we are currently UNABLE to take in any more animals from those looking to find homes for their own animals or for those they have found abandoned or wandering. Our mission is to help animals in need, but our rescue can only support a certain number of animals - and we have unfortunately reached our limit.
Helpful Information Sheet
However, because we care so much about the welfare of animals, we still would like to offer help to those looking to rehome an animal. Therefore, we have put together a information sheet to give you ideas on how to find your animal a good home. Please click here for the information. (The sheet is in a PDF format, so if you do not have Adobe Reader, please click the "Get Adobe" button above.)
We hope that this information will be useful to you in your efforts.
