Xena is a very special Rottie gal who deserves a very special home.
Xena is an Okie through & through-so much so we're convinced she's part Twister, she's truly a whirlwind of activity!!!
Xena is very confident, energetic and head strong. Xena needs to live with an individual, or perhaps a couple who have the experience, dedication and time to keep an active Rottie motivated.
Xena's high energy and incredible drive would make her an ideal candidate for dog sport such as agility or lure coursing.
What Xena needs is a structured home that will keep her thinking--in this type of home, Xena will blossom and thrive.
We do require Xena's adopter to attend obedience classes with her. A portion of her adoption fee will be refunded once a certificate of completion is sent in.
***UPDATE***
With hot, summer weather here, Xena has discovered how much fun playing in the water can be!!!
RNN was contacted last week about at first count was 20 rottweilers in dire need
A lot has happened in the last 24 hours. Upon arrival, we discovered that there were ONLY 11 rotties left on the property, not the 20+ we had originally been told. Three are already in foster care. A fund has been established to provide veterinary care for the dogs, but there are other needs. We have set up a blog dedicated to the Pontotoc 14, please visit it often for updates on their progress and information on ways you can help.

An enormous THANK YOU to Mann's Best Friend and Wellness Pet foods. Your generous contribution of quality food will give the Pontotoc 14 a giant boost on their road to recovery.
Not forgetting everyone who has been so generous and have opened their hearts & pockets to help get these rotties on the road to better health and homes!
Be sure your pets have indentifcation, tags with owners name, phone & address, rabies tag or better yet microchipped. The new year brings the highest number of "lost pet" reports to Humane Societies/shelters, and many animals arrive with no ID tag or microchip
Keep you companion in a safe place indoors. Some animals may become destructive when frightened, so be sure all items are removed that they could damage or that may be harmful if chewed. Leave a radio or tv on at normal volume to provide some companionship while you are away.
Give your pets a quiet place to retreat to, especially if your normally quiet home is filled with guests and unaccustomed noise. Watch pets when doors are opening and closing frequently, as dogs and cats easily can slip out.
Do not leave your pet in a car, in addtion to danger posed by thieves, the tempertures can quickly cause harm.
You Can Help: Explore the ways you can make this year a better one for animals. Get involved in animal-related legislation. Spay or neuter your own pets through the low-cost Neuter Now program and encourage your neighbors to do the same.
Teach your children to be kind to animals. Make a donation to help support animal welfare efforts. Volunteer at your local animal shelter where your efforts may be rewarded with a slobbery kiss or contented purr.
ABOUT US
We’re a very small group of Rottweiler lovers dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of members of our favorite breed who have fallen on hard times. Although the Rottweiler is our first love, if resources allow, we will not turn down any dog in need regardless of breed. Since we are small, we are very selective about the pets we choose to help on their way to a new home. We take great pride in our ability to select only the most temperamentally sound pets so they and you can enjoy years of love and companionship together. We want our prospective and adoptive families to trust that we have worked hard to find them the most suitable pet to join their family. If you see a pet on our website you would like to know more about, please contact us about that pet. If you haven’t found “THE ONE” for you, we would welcome the opportunity to be a part of your search for a new companion.
Every pet has three basic needs: a safe place to live, a healthy diet and lots of love. Sounds simple-especially the lots of love part, but it takes some careful thought to provide the first two.
Please take a moment to visit these two websites to learn more about the sad, lonely life of the chained dog. They also have some great tips on alternatives to chaining. If you know of a chained dog, please pass these sites along, they ALL deserve better.
Visit the SHOPPING PAGE of our main website to learn more about how you can help us help them.
If you would like the security of knowing EXACTLY how your money is being spent, feel free to make your contribution directly to our veterianarian. Without him & his caring staff, we would not be able to do what we do. Payments are accepted in our behalf at Rock Knoll Animal Hospital 6715 S. Western Ave. Okla. City, Okla. 73139
CONGRATULATIONS DR. C !!!!!

Training
is a wonderful opportunity to bond with your new pet!!! A well behaved pet is a joy to own and to show off to jealous neighbors. It also gives them more opportunities to be with you, thus strengthening the bond between you. For more information on obedience training in and around the Okla. City metro area, contact
