Clyde-A-Scope Pet Rescue

ABOUT US

Thank you for considering rescue. Our mission is to CHANGE THE WORLD ONE PET AT A TIME. Our main goal is to educate people as to why they should not buy from a pet store. Many of our pets come from mills or back yard breeders who breed solely with the intent of making a profit no matter what sacrifice or poor quality of life the dogs are living to make the best buck possible. When the dogs can no longer have puppies or have small litters in most cases these dogs are destroyed in the cheapest manner and not in the most humane way. These dogs are kept in deplorable conditions that is not acceptable for anything living. They normally do not have any human contact and when they do it is not loving or compassionate.

We do try to get these adult dogs out before they are destroyed. We also get many puppies out that are rejected by pet stores or dog brokers for various reasons. In many cases they are not the right color, size or sex. The mill will then either keep the young puppies throw them in a wire pen and raise them until they are old enough to breed. Otherwise they destroy them as it is cheaper then feeding them. We try to get many of these innocent babies out so that they can live the life that they deserve with a loving person or family. They all deserve a good life and nothing less.

We also do get some of our pets out of kill shelters. We do get our pets from all over so in many cases we have to hire transport to get them to one of our foster homes. We mostly have dogs and puppies but at times will have cats, kittens and some farm animals as well.

We are in the process of having are website built so we apologize that it is difficult to get some information. Once our website is completed we will have a FAQ page.

WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER. ALL OF OUR PETS ARE IN FOSTER HOMES.

VOLUNTEERS AND FOSTER HOMES

If you are interested in doing some volunteer work for us, please email us at clydeascope@y.com If you are interested in fostering please fill out our adoption application. When asked what pet you are interested in please type "foster".

ADOPTING A FRIEND

If you are interested in one of our pets.

PLEASE FIRST CONSIDER GOING TO A KILL SHELTER. ALSO KEEP IN MIND THAT PUPPIES GET ADOPTED. SENIOR DOGS NEED HOMES BADLY. PLEASE CONSIDER A SENIOR DOG OR ADULT FIRST. If you do not find what you are looking for and decide to get a puppy or one of our other pets. 1. Please fill out an adoption application.

2. Your application will be reviewed and we will contact you, by email with an approval, questions and or concerns, or a denial. If you do not answer all questions or miss something on the application, we will contact you asking you to complete the application before we will be able to process it. We will also let you know at that time if your approval is pending a phone interview.

3. It may take up to 48 hours to hear back from us after you have filled out an application.

4. After you are approved for adoption, you will be able to set up an appointment to see the pet or pets that you are interested in. We may also be able to set up a meeting place of transport. Under some circumstances some of our pets we will consider transport. Most of our pets are available for same day adoptions. Meaning when you come for your appointment and decide that you want to adopt, you will be able to take the pet home at that time. We will let you know prior to your appointment if the pet you are interested in is not ready to go into a new home yet and if not when they will be.

KEEP IN MIND ARE PETS ARE UP TO DATE ON SHOTS AND WORMING. YOU MUST SIGN A SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT IF THE PET YOU ADOPT IS UNDER 6 MONTHS OLD. ALL PETS OVER 6 MONTHS OLD ARE ALTERED PRIOR TO ADOPTION, HEARTWORM TESTED, STARTED ON HEARTWORM PREVENTATIVE AND FLEA AND TICK PREVENTATIVE. WE HOPE THAT WHEN RESCUING A PET YOU ARE GETTING A HEALTHY PET. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE HEALTH OF OUR PETS. WE HAVE NO CONTROL OF WHAT THESE PETS HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO PRIOR TO US GETTING THEM AND WE HAVE NO CONTROL OF CONDITIONS THAT MAY COME FROM POOR BREEDING OR CONDITIONS RESULTING IN HEALTH ISSUES. WE WILL LET YOU KNOW OF ANY KNOWN HEALTH ISSUES PRIOR TO ADOPTION.

COME VISIT US!

As all of our pets are living in foster homes, we welcome you to visit with our pets, after your application is approved, by appointment only.
