APS Foster To Adopt Program
This program is designed to assist with the rescue of an APS animal while giving the fostering family time to see how the animal will fit into their home.
After completing an Adoption Application and being approved by APS, the Foster to Adopt will fill out an Adoption Agreement as well as a Foster Agreement before the animal will be placed in their home. All fostering guidelines will be followed and are attached for review.
The Foster to Adopt family will be financially responsible for all medical care for said animal, thereby waiving the adoption fee.
On completion of all vet care, including spay/neuter, through a vet provided by APS or the vet of the Foster to Adopt’s choice, and providing complete records of veterinarian care, the adoption paperwork will be considered complete and the animal fully released to the Foster to Adopt family.
Who We Are
A Purrfect Start is a 501(c)(3) organization that was created by a group of individuals with the belief that we have to do all we can to help change the unwanted pet population as well as the suffering of animals. We hope to focus on education and working towards changing laws to protect animals. We believe that a community must come together to make that difference. We will do all we can to educate on the importance of spaying and neutering, the importance of stopping the spreading of contangious, incurrable diseases and the suffering of homeless and unwanted animals. We hope that in time this can make a difference in the numbers of homeless and unwanted animals.
