*Parent & Me Program - P&M is designed for a child aged 12-15 to accompany a parent during volunteering in our shelter with the understanding that the adult is the primary handler of the animal. The volulnteer process is consistant with the adult program and requires volunteer orientation and training and is designed to be a long term commitment.
Attending an information session is the first step in becoming a Rescue Village volunteer. During this session, you will have a chance to meet our staff, learn about our organization and the different volunteer opportunities.
Training helps prepare you for the challenges of working with shelter animals in a safe and appropriate manner.
Please check back for the date of the first quarter 2007 Volunteer Information Session.
Sponsor a Cage
As a Cage Sponsor, you provide the funds to keep our animals healthy, well fed, and comfortably housed while they wait for the right people to come and take them home for good. The cost is just $15 a month or $180 a year. You can sign up for as many cages as you wish. You will receive monthly biographies and photos of the animals who are benefiting from your generosity.
Cage sponsorships make great gifts for birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, and other special occasions.

Rescue Village is seeking Foster Care Volunteers to participate in a life-saving program. Foster volunteers provide in-home care to special needs animals. Responsibilities include, bottle feeding kittens or puppies, socializing and training dogs and cats or nursing animals recovering from injuries.
Foster Care Volunteers help save animal lives in the comfort of their own home. Fostering an animal also allows you and your family to experience having a pet with out making a long term or life time commitment. Fostering animals is an excellant way to teach children responsibility and is good practice for caring for a future family pet.
