Come visit us each Saturday at the Ashtabula Towne Square Adoption Center (Old Harbor Pet Store) from 11:00am to 7:00pm. Since we started going to the mall in April '04, over 1200 dogs and cats have been adopted from there!
We can always use volunteers on Saturdays for transporting animals to and from the adoption center...and for taking a 4-hour shift at the Mall Store itself. Please email volunteer coordinators, Rich & Carla Madarena at protectedpaws@windstream.net
We are a non-profit animal rescue with an adoption center facility in Northeastern Ohio. We are trying not to euthanize healthy adoptable animals and we take in a large volume of cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies. Some months the dog warden brings us over 100 dogs!
All animals adopted from the adoption center are spayed or neutered at the appropriate age. We believe that spaying and neutering is the primary way to solve the problem of so many unwanted cats and dogs.

We look forward to working with you! Please contact Tina at addedtouch@roadrunner.com with any questions.
Note: Although we welcome offers to help any of our animals, we do not usually need help placing puppies. With certain exceptions, puppies can only go to rescue if an equivalent number of older dogs are taken as well. The other alternative is to pay the adoption fee in full (listed on our home page) to pull a puppy.
