I call my cats that I am making available for adoption "Desperate Cat Lives" because all cats in need of a home are desperate. Most of the cats I adopt out are from a local shelter that gets hundreds of cats dumped at the shelter every month. Once the shelter gives me a cat or kitten, I pay out of my own pocket to have it spayed/neutered and for all of the food and veterinary care it needs.
Adopting a friend
Every cat I adopt out has been spayed/neutered, dewormed, flea treated, tested for AIDS and Leukemia, and is up-to-date on vaccinations to include Rabies, if old enough at the time of spay/neuter.
The adoption donation for cats is $85.00. An adoption application (which includes a veterinarian reference check) and an adoption agreement are required.
All adoption donations are made to a local 501(c)(3) shelter. I keep none of the adoption donation.
Please do not adopt a cat from a breeder as they are just making more cats when perfectly healthy homeless cats die everyday because they do not have a place to live.
