The Trumbull County Dog Kennel is owned/operated by Trumbull County Commissioners. Our goal is to attempt to reunite the lost dogs with their owners. The unclaimed dogs that are adoptable are put up for adoption. We try to place the adoptable dogs in good homes where they will receive the best of care, which is what they deserve.
The Trumbull County Dog Kennel charges an adoption fee of $10 for a puppy under the age of 3 months and $20 for a dog over 3 months, plus a dog license fee of $14.00 ( required by the State of Ohio law.) There is a
MANDATORY SPAY AND NEUTER PROGRAM.
You will read and sign the Adoption form that is a legal document. You have 30 days from the day of adoption to get this done. If this is not done we have the right to come and take the dog. After this is done, have the vets office send or fax a copy of the document stating this fact.
We do not accept credit cards. Payment options at this time are CASH or CHECK. The Trumbull County Dog Kennel welcomes rescue orginizations to adopt our dogs. The fees are paid for all adopted dogs without exception. The fees charged by the Trumbull County Dog Pound are in compliance with the State of Ohio. The pound does not provide any medical care for the dogs listed. We recommend that all of the adopted dogs be taken immediately to a Vet to receive a health examination and vaccinations.
Out of state adoptions can be made but you must first contact our office to get the information on how to do so.
