Frisky Ferrets, Fuzzies, & Feathered Friends
Rescue & Sanctuary

Who We Are

F5RS (Frisky Ferrets, Fuzzies, & Feathered Friends Rescue & Sanctuary) is a very small rescue in Youngstown, Ohio, that takes in a variety of small animals; including ferrets, rabbits, rodents (guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, etc.) and all types of birds, big and small! We care for, rehabilitate, socialize and have all our animals checked by a veterinarian before putting them up for adoption.

If you have an animal that you can no longer care for and needs to find a new home, contact the director of F5RS. If your pet is accepted, we will take them in and give them the love and care that they need, and hopefully find them a new home of their own.

Adopting a Friend

If you are interested in adopting one of our Frisky, Fuzzy, or Feathered Friends, please review our adoption polices (below) before contacting the F5RS director.

Please note that there is an adoption fee, which varies by animal and covers the cost of bedding, food, toys, treats, and veterinary care. As well as the cost of our rabbit spay and neuter program. All rabbits are spayed or neutered.

Adoption Policies

1. We interview all applicants for the adoption of any and all of our adoptees.
2. We reserve the right to turn down any applicant for any reason.
3. Adoption fees are based on age, health, and type of adoption.
4. All applicants must have a veterinarian, and all pets should see veterinarian after adoption.
5. We will take back any adoptee within the first six months, minus a percent fee.
6. We will take back any adoptee after the first year, minus the adoption fee.
7. Bunnies must be inside pets, and all pets must have appropriate sized cages.
8. You must be able to show avian knowledge to adopt a bird of any kind.

***NOTE: Every adoption always includes an interview to make sure we are pairing up our rescues with the appropriate home, for your and the animal's sake. We reserve the right to deny any adoption for any reason.
