Donations Needed!
Often times dogs brought in to the shelter are suffering from injuries or medical problems. Donations for a medical fund are most welcomed. We also have need of towels, blankets, and chewies for these guys and gals. Thank you so much for helping us look after the homeless dogs of our county.

You can mail your checks to:
Erie County Dog Shelter
2900 Columbus Ave.
Sandusky, OH 44870
Thanks again!

Who We Are

We are the Erie County Dog Shelter and we provide a temporary place for lost and/or unwanted dogs of this county. If you see a dog who interests you, please don't hesitate to come in and check them out as soon as possible.

Adopting a friend

Adoption fee is $50.00 and up depending on which pet you are interested in, which includes their Erie Co. dog license, rabies shot, 1st parvo shot (wormer, capstar)
The public may view dogs during normal office hours. Since most of these dogs are strays, we do not have histories on them. It is recommended that you take your new pet to the veterinarian right away for a check-up. Also, please have your pets spayed or neutered.
