Our Featured Pet GARRETT
Garrett was born the summer of 2005 and really wants a familiy to call his own. He is a character, he will follow you everywhere, just to get a scratch or pet on the head. Garrett was rescued by a boy who found him nearly dead, and we were blessed to have been able to save him. He is named after his angel. Garrett is house trained, up to date with routine shots, and has been altered. Who We Are
The Cat House Feline Sanctuary, Inc., was built in the summer of 2005. We are a non-profit , 501(c)(3) designated charity. We are currently housing approximately 60 cats and kittens at our facility and in foster homes throughout Ashland County, Ohio.
All of our cats are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for feline aids (FIV) and leukemia, wormed and flea treated.
We have a wide range of cats looking for new homes. We have a variety of ages from seniors cats to adults, and occasionally kittens. We have long hair, short hair, a variety of colors, some de-clawed, males and females, as well as siblings. We also have a few special need cats, so we are sure that we can find the right match for your family.
News
The Cat House Feline Sanctuary can only continue to exist through donations from the community. While monetary donations are always appreciated, we can also use donations of paper towels, laundry, soap and bleach, as well as gently used blankets, towels, pet linens, pet carriers, kennels, and crates. While we appreciate the generosity, we only use Scoopable with Crystals Special Kitty cat litter, and Purina Cat Chow dry cat food, as we need to minimize confusion for the cats in our care. Our friends at Ashland Vet Clinic on Main Street have agreed to collect donations for us. Just let them know that the donation is for The Cat House when you drop it off. We have received our 501(c)(3) IRS designation as a charity, so we are now a tax deductable donation. Receipts are provided by mail, so please provide your information.
Adopting a friend
We have adoption fees depending on which cat you choose. The fees range from $100-125. We do require references, have an adoption contract, and will provide you with medical information for your vet. For information about a specific cat, or to arrange a meeting, please use the contact info in that cat’s description.
Come Visit Us!
We make appointments for visits on an individual basis as some of our cats are in our facility and some are housed with foster families. To make an appointment, please contact the person listed in the description of the cat you are interested in.
