Who We Are
The Animal Adoption Foundation (AAF) is a non-profit no-kill shelter for dogs and cats that have been abused or abandoned. AAF provides a safe and humane environment for dogs and cats who are waiting to be adopted. Our wonderfully caring volunteers and generous and loving donors enable us to provide a safe and happy haven for our special friends. The shelter currently houses approximately 100 cats and dogs.
Adopting a friend
All of our cats and dogs are vet-checked, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped through 24 Petwatch. The adoption process is quite simple. We always suggest that the entire family (including canine members) come to the shelter and meet the potential new family member. We ask that the family spends quality time getting to know and bonding with the animal. During this time, our adoption volunteers will be eager to answer any questions the potential adopters might have. In addition, our volunteers will interview the family through conversation and a questionnaire in our efforts to ensure a good home for our animals. After the interview phase, an adoption contract is signed by the adopters and the AAF.
Tuesday 4-7 PM
Friday 4-7 PM
Saturday and Sunday 1-4 PM
We will also set appointments during nonadoption hours.
...$125.00 DOGS AND PUPPIES
...$85.00 CATS AND KITTENS
These fees help to cover the costs of spaying or neutering, vaccinations, preventative treatments and daily food and water requirements. Since we are a non-profit organization, our only financial support comes from community support and adoption fees.
We have nearby lodging available at a wonderful bed and breakfast for out of town adopters. Special AAF Rates are $40 weekdays and $60 weekends with a continental breakfast. Deluxe rates are $50 weekdays and $70 weekends with a full "Welsh" breakfast. Plās Cadnant
