The dogs that are featured are available for immediate adoption and are in the most danger of being euthanized if the shelter becomes full. No dog will be featured on Petfinder until they are legally available for adoption so this means that even though a small number of dogs may be featured at one time, the shelter could be full and euthanization could take place very soon. If you are interested in any animal at the kennel, it is very important to contact the Dog Warden immediately as all dogs have limited time!
The web page will be updated often, so please continue to check the dogs that are available. GREAT DOGS CAN BE FOUND AT DOG POUNDS AND JUST NEED A SECOND CHANCE!!!
If you are interested in one of the dogs available for adoption, please contact the Holmes County Dog Pound and give the warden the name and description of the dog. Adoption fee is $25.00 for an adult dog and $15.00 for a puppy. License fee is $14.00. Total is $39.00. All dogs leaving the facility must have a current license tag. This facility is self-supporting with very limited funds, and therefore, long distance calls might not be returned. Please continue to try to make contact with the kennel as all dogs have limited time.
The kennel is unable to provide vet care at their facility and cannot guarantee the health of the dog. It is strongly encouraged that you take your dog to a vet soon after he is adopted.
If you are unable to adopt a new friend at this time, please consider donating a leash, treats, food, a kuranda bed, etc. All donations are greatly appreciated!
