Ann Would Love A New Home for the New Year!!

Meet Ann!

Ann is a medium-sized (about 35 lbs) Terrier/maybe hound mix? She is fairly young, about a year and a half old. Ann is very smart and knows sit, wait, hush, and down, and is a wonderful car rider. She would likely be a GREAT agility dog with some consistent training because she LOVES to jump and she has lots of energy to burn. She would do best in a home where she is able to run and is exercised regularly. Ann will sit and wait while her meals are prepared. She is great with cats and kids, and absolutely loves any attention she can get from people. She is a loving girl and deserves to find her forever home. She should be the only dog or be placed with a very submissive dog, because she is very dominant, especially toward females. It would be best if she did not have to be crated at all when left alone or only crated for short periods of time. All in all, she needs some consistent training and work and she'll be great. ANN ALSO NEEDS A FOSTER HOME ASAP!!! Ann's adoption fee is $200, which includes all vetting (spay/neuter, all vaccinations including rabies, heartworm test & started on prevention), started on flea/tick prevention, microchip and a leash & collar. If you are interested in meeting Ann, or even fostering her until she finds her permanent home, please begin by filling out the online application that applies at www.stopthesuffering.org.

Can Max Be Your New Buddy?

Meet Max!

Who can resist those ears! Yes, they are as big in person as they look in the picture! Max is a super sweet guy. He is a Carolina dog mix, which is a herding/working type dog, much like a blue heeler. He needs lots of exercise and mental stimulation to keep him from getting bored. He would prefer a home with another dog to play with, as he LOVES other dogs, and he would also like a home where there is someone home most of the time, as he doesn't like to be crated but will get into things if left uncrated and unsupervised. Max LOVES people, children included, and once he is all out of energy, his favorite thing to do is cuddle with his family. He is a very loyal pet and would love to come home with you! MAX NEEDS A FOSTER HOME ASAP!! Max's adoption fee is $200, which includes all vetting (spay/neuter, all vaccinations including rabies, heartworm test & started on prevention), started on flea/tick prevention, microchip and a leash & collar. If you are interested, please fill-out an online application at www.stopthesuffering.org.

Who is Stop the Suffering?

Stop The Suffering is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to save the lives of dogs and cats in high kill shelters, primarily in Rural Ohio. We have a network of volunteers who keep a close eye on many animal shelters both local and otherwise. When an animal is placed on the “euthanasia short list” we contact the shelter to let them know we will be coming to rescue the animal.

You can meet many of our adoptable pets at the Mingle With Our Mutts every FIRST and THIRD Sunday of the month, at the Franklin County Dog Shelter. For directions, click here!
We are a foster-based organization. This means we have no building of our own, and we can only save as many animals as we have foster homes available for. Please consider fostering an animal in need!
