H.O.P.E. Night at the Races

Who We Are:

H.O.P.E. Organization (Horse Outreach Program through Education) is a non-profit 501(c)3 charity located in Olmsted Township, Ohio. We rehabilitate unwanted, abused or neglected equines while educating the public to love and respect these wonderful animals so they may receive a caring new home.

Foster-Care/Leasing & Adoption:

We offer on-site leasing opportunities on our horses. This gives new horse owners the opportunity to learn everything needed to properly care for a new horse and see if horse ownership is right for them.

We feel that 4-H children are the horse owners of the future and it is a wonderful program that teaches all aspects of horse ownership to children, should they choose horses as their focus. Our special 4-H leasing program allows children who need a horse, to use one of our rescues as their project horse. Horses may be leased at our facility or housed at your own facilty.

After rehabilitation the horse is available for adoption to a permanent & loving home. An application and contract are required.

Low Cost Programs:

We offer low cost programs to help instill a sense of compassion and responsibility for horses. These programs were developed to help the community and our rescued horses. Our focus is not only on the equine, but also on educating the public. Programs include low cost riding/driving lessons, various clinics and workshops, a Scout badge program for girl and boy scouts to earn their badge and low income adjustments. All proceeds from our programs go directly back into the organization to pay for our expenses. There are no fees paid directly to the instructors. Check out our website for a list of our 2007 educational clinics!

Volunteering:

We are totally dependent upon volunteers to help care for our rescued horses. We hold New Volunteer Orientations once a month. Anyone interested in volunteering is welcome to attend. Contact Allison at allison@hopehorserescue.org for the next scheduled orientation date. You can RSVP for this meeting via our website.

Membership:

We offer membership into the organization with voting rights to elect officers. After one year of membership, members may apply for open positions on the board, officer and any other type of position within the organization. All positions are non-paid, volunteer positions. Members will also receive a membership card and receive discounts on clinics, riding lessons and a quarterly newsletter and invitations to special events in addition to discounts at local area businesses . All proceeds from membership go directly back into the organization to pay for our expenses. Membership is the foundation of our organization and becoming a member shows that you support our mission.

Contributions:

We are totally dependent upon donations. Our costs are very high to save, care and rehabilitate these well deserving horses. Without the support of wonderful people like you, we wouldn't be able to keep the H.O.P.E. alive. We accept payments through PayPal online and also checks made Payable to H.O.P.E. Organization. We HOPE you consider giving to our cause and Thank You.

*Please contact us to schedule a visit. We are not open to the public on a daily basis. Thank you!
