Who We Are
The Clermont County Humane Society which operates the public county animal shelter, is a non-profit organization founded in 1957. Our objective is to instill in others the knowledge of humane principles and to aid in the enforcement of all laws pertaining to prevention of cruelty to animals.
Our mission is to exist for the purpose of fostering the adoption of unwanted animals and enforcing the humane treatment of all animals.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption fees are $150.00 for purebreed dogs and puppies, $85.00 for mixed breed dogs and puppies. Cats and kittens are $90.00 for purebreeds, $50.00 for mixed breed cats and kittens.
Come Visit Us!
We are located off of State Route 222 - Batavia, Ohio on Filager Road. Directions are east of I- 275, on Route 32 toward Batavia. Follow 32 east to the Owensville exit. Take a right onto the Route 222 exit, make a right off the exit onto Rt 222, follow Rt 222 9/10 of a mile and Filager is on the right. We are east of Cincinnati, Ohio. We are open to the public for adoptions from 11:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. Monday - Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and most holidays.
